Around 1,000 people reached out to his firm after losing their jobs. Most of them couldn't get help: there aren't enough attorneys in this area, and traditional fees put real representation out of reach. He built The Unemployment Advocate so that getting genuine legal help no longer means choosing between excessive fees and going without an advocate.

YOUR APPEAL WINDOW
Minnesota deadlines are short and strictly enforced. Enter the date printed on your determination notice to see roughly where you stand.
A notice dated generally must be appealed by — —
This is general information based on the 45-calendar-day rule, not legal advice about your deadline. The controlling date is printed on your notice — if you're close, start today.
WHY THIS EXISTS
Real legal help shouldn't cost more than the benefits you're fighting for.
Fighting for benefits the traditional way — intake call, document review, witness prep, the hearing itself — can run past two thousand dollars. Most workers don't need all of that. They need a clear plan, organized evidence, and someone experienced telling them what matters.
That's what technology is for here: handling the parts that don't need a lawyer, so the lawyer's time goes where it counts.
About Tyler W. Brennan →QUESTIONS
Before you begin
Will I work with a real lawyer, or just the assistant?
Eliza helps you get started: she answers general questions, screens for fit, and gathers facts. She isn't a lawyer and doesn't give legal advice. The legal work — review, judgment, your packet — is done by licensed attorney Tyler W. Brennan.
I was just denied. How fast do I need to act?
In Minnesota, an appeal generally must be filed within 45 calendar days after the date on your determination notice, and that deadline is strictly enforced. The exact date is printed on your notice. If you've been denied, don't wait.
Does preparation actually change how a hearing turns out?
Hearings move fast and follow rules most people have never dealt with. Walking in with your arguments organized, your documents in order, and a sense of what to expect tends to make a real difference. We can't promise a result — every case turns on its own facts.
How do the flat fees work?
Each service has a fixed price you see before you commit. After you review and sign a limited-scope engagement letter, you pay once through LawPay. Nothing is added later.
Can you help if I'm outside Minnesota?
Not yet. Tyler is licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but the service is currently available only for Minnesota employees.
